The course aims to introduce you the importance of measurement and its relevance to industry. The detailed topics include the definition and importance of SI base units, mechanical metrology, surface metrology, coordinate metrology, laser and optical metrology. The course also enables with much needed material characterization principles and techniques needed for the industry. This course will train you the fundamental measurement principles as well as the instrumentation for the measurement. You will also experience the real industrial measurement applications through the case studies.
