Advanced Studies in M edieval Literature examines a central theme or question in the field of medieval literature through a selection of literary works, both canonical and non-canonical. In order to understand these works within their historical context we will also explore other approaches to the course's focal theme, reading historical and theological works and analysing manuscripts and works of visual art.
