This course aims to introduce you to the theoretical and practical foundations of policy analysis with a specific focus on socio-political analysis in the context of Singapore. The course is designed to develop understanding of 'what is the right thing to do' (core values in public policy) and 'how to do things right' (political feasibility). The course also goes one step further by encouraging students to critically analyse what is understood as 'successful policies', traditionally defined by the two aforementioned factors. The course ultimately aims to push students to carefully consider a multitude of factors when brainstorming and implementing new policies.
