This course aims to provide students with a broad exposure to the role of culture and language in effective communication and collaboration within youth work. Specifically, topics will include: cultural identity, intercultural competency, culture and disability, as well as culturally responsive interventions and services. Opportunities will be provided for self-reflection on these topics to facilitate the development of intercultural competency.
